Calleja’s Journey at ROK CUP Italy in Franciacorta

For Calleja and Di Pietro Racing team, the race was not just about the final result but also about the invaluable lessons learned along the way.

Jessica Calleja geared up for her participation in the Franciacorta ROK CUP Italy Round 3, alongside Di Pietro Racing team. Stepping onto the track, she found herself amidst a vibrant mix of international teams and drivers.

The journey began with two days of rigorous training, where every session served as an opportunity to fine-tune the kart setup and hone her competitive edge. Each lap brought its own set of challenges, but Calleja and her team remained steadfast in their pursuit of the perfect setup to achieve a strong competitive pace.

As the race day dawned Calleja took to the track the practice sessions, ready to make her mark on the competition. Despite facing stiff competition, she remained undeterred, giving her all in each heat and striving for positions throughout the race.

The results began to unfold, reflecting the fruits of Calleja’s effort. In the qualifying rounds, she secured a commendable P17 position. As the heats progressed, Calleja continued to battling her way through the pack and earning respectable finishes in Heat 1 (P22) and Heat 2 (P21).

However, it was in the final race where Calleja, posed by her strong character, remained focused and composed and as the checkered flag waved, crossed the finish line, securing a commendable P28 finish in the final standings.

For Calleja and Di Pietro Racing team, the race was not just about the final result but also about the invaluable lessons learned along the way. With each lap, they continued to push the boundaries, striving for continuous improvement and setting their sights on the next goals.

Reflecting on her experience, Calleja expressed gratitude for the opportunity to compete at such a prestigious event and the privilege of representing DPR and credited her team for their continuous support and tireless efforts throughout the event, highlighting the collaborative spirit that drove them forward including her sponsors, Enemed, Alter Domus Careers, System X Ceramic Coating Malta, Alberta Group, and Good Earth Distributors Limited.
