Jean Paul Cauchi Shares Updates Ahead of FuelTech Malta Mayhem Round 2

Motorsport enthusiasts in Malta are getting excited about the impending FuelTech Malta Mayhem Round 2, which will take place this weekend. In an exclusive interview, we spoke with Jean Paul Cauchi, one of the event’s key figures, to get the most recent details and observations before the adrenaline-fueled action begins.

Cauchi, who was clearly heavily involved in the preparations, offered light on the enormous groundwork required for an event of this scale. “Basically, for an event like this, the preparation starts immediately after the previous event,” he explained, emphasising the importance of precise planning for success.

With Round 2 marking only the second event of the series hosted by the new committee, Cauchi expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response from participants. “Thanks to all participants, they gave us a good challenge due to a massive number of competitors,” he remarked, highlighting the unexpected turnout that surpassed expectations. “We were surprised since over 95 competitors usually we have them the Final Round at the end of the year (November),” he added, hinting at the scale of enthusiasm among racing aficionados.

Despite the challenges posed by the increased number of competitors, Cauchi assured that the organizing team is well-prepared to deliver an electrifying event. He extended special acknowledgment to key individuals who have played pivotal roles in the preparation process. “Especially to my right hands, our secretary Clint D’Amato & President Gabriel Briffa,” he emphasized, recognizing their invaluable contributions to the event’s smooth execution.

Cauchi also thanked the committee members and numerous teams who worked together to ensure the event will run smoothly and emphasised the importance of teamwork in ensuring the event’s success, from rigorous control tower management to the track preparation staff and dedicated cleaners. “Thank you to all committee members, the men behind the Control Tower, Track Spotters, the Control Tower Team, and the Cleaners. “The event cannot take place without these people,” he stated, emphasising the collaborative attitude that is propelling the event forward.

Cauchi anticipated an action-packed weekend for racing fans. “We are looking forward to putting on hundreds of races during the weekend in our National Drag for all the strip full of personal bests,” he said, promising thrilling competitions and record-breaking performances on the track.

With expectations high and preparations at their pinnacle, the FuelTech Malta Mayhem Round 2 promises plenty of action and excitement by the Maltese talented drivers.
