Outstanding Results for Team Super Lap at Misano Circuit

All Three Drivers Securing Podium Finishes

The third round of the GT3isti Challenge, held at the Misano circuit, saw the Super Lap Driving Academy’s team achieve remarkable results, with all three drivers securing podium finishes in their respective Porsche GT3 and GT4 categories.

In the 992 GT3 class, Domenico Zappalà clinched second place, while Maltese driver Daniel Montebello finished in third. Meanwhile, in the Girodisc GT4 class, Massimo Caci secured the third spot on the podium.

These achievements bolster Super Lap’s reputation both as a driving academy and a racing team, highlighting the ongoing commitment of its founder, driver and instructor Walter Palazzo, to fostering the athletic growth of his team members.

The GT3isti Challenge is a unique format dedicated to Porsche vehicles, rewarding drivers for consistent lap times across three race sessions in a single day. To ensure fair competition, cars, both street and racing variants, are divided into classes based on model or power-to-weight ratio. The races feature a rolling start, with cars spaced appropriately apart, and drivers are timed. At the end of the three sessions, the rankings are determined by summing the two best times of each driver.

The GT3isti Challenge will continue with the next round at Vallelunga on September 7th and 8th. During the long summer break, drivers must maintain their focus on the ultimate goal of winning the championship.
